The all-star band performed at the iTunes Festival 2011 in London yesterday. Steve was headlining the Festival, and pleased the crowd by introducing his special guests who sat in on a cover of an old Mississippi Fred McDowell song "Write Me a Few Lines"

Alison and Jack's band The Dead Weather covered "New Pony" on their first album, which is a Bob Dylan reimagining of a Mississippi Fred song. I caught Steve busking on Haight St. in San Francisco and he did another Mississippi Fred song, "You Got To Move" (covered famously by The Stones), as well as a few of his own chestnuts.
