They just announced their third swing thru the US this year in support of their new 4th album Suck It And See....
So is the new album any good? I've been listening to all 4 albums, b-sides, live concerts... they are one of my favorite artists (guess Jack White and Pete Doherty are two of the others...)... and I do like albums 3 and 4 (and weirdly, find that they save the best for the b-sides for some reason.... like I Haven't Got My Strange.... why isn't that on the 3rd album? Why do they not feature some of their best songs on the album and sneak them out as b-sides? No understand-o....)... but album 3 and 4 do not cannot and will not ever measure up to albums 1 and 2.... those are classics written when they were kids and are flawless... Albums 3 and 4 are great, but not perfect.... Oh well, isn't two perfect albums enough? Most people don't have any....
Pretty cool, by the way, that the lads from Sheffield will be touring with Chicago's finest.... The Smith Westerns!
