Hot on the heels of the release of a new Jack White solo song, it was announced he would perform at the Sasquatch Fest (The Gorge, Washington State) over the Memorial Day Weekend in late May.
The highlights:
Jack White AND Jack Black??? it's happened before, at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park a few years back... Jack White played with The Dead Weather in the afternoon and Jack Black headlined (subbing for The Beastie Boys right after Adam Y's throat cancer announcement... hear he's doing better now... Tashi Delek, Adam!) with Tenacious D at night. We wondered aloud at the time if the crowd would be treated to the spectacle of a pair of Jacks performing, but it was not to be... maybe this time?.... it's true that Tenacious D is kind of a novelty band (joke band seems a bit harsh), beneath the dignity of rock royalty like Jack White.... on the other hand, the White One did do a thing with Insane Clown Posse recently.... hey Jack Black, any Detroit and/or Nashville connection you can exploit to get the man's attention/respect???
