The video above features four new Malkmus songs - "Solid Silk", "Shiggy", "Middle America" and "Refute" - played solo and acoustic from the forthcoming Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks album Sparkle Hard

The album versions will feature the whole band, but these solo acoustic versions are wonderful to hear also.

"Freeze The Saints" is from the 2005 Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks release Face The Truth.

"Trigger Cut" is from Pavement's 1992 Slanted & Enchanted. Malkmus was one of Pavement's two brilliant singer/songwriter/guitarists.
