The Smith Westerns opened for Yeasayer at the sold-out show. Nice to see the guys gaining confidence in their performance. Seen them a few times now... opening up for Wavves in New York.... playing with Yuck at The Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco.... (and on VD Day on Haight St's Amoeba Records)...
Still, this crowd came for Yeasayer. Shouldn't The Smith Westerns be headlining? Even if it meant playing in a smaller place... or playing with more appropriate bands like Wavves, Yuck, and Girls....
