John Henry. I had my guitar strapped to my back and was looking for a spot to set up. I said hi, he said hey, what kind of music do you play. and i said " kind of sounds like the stuff you're playing!" From that day forward we talked and played music.. I was living out of my car actually and he let me stay over where he was staying with his sister and her husband. He had invited me other times too, but he knew me and knew I was tough to accept help. We went hiking the next morning. Henry State Park -- I met little Henry too, his nephew who was named after the park. He was just as magical as Clayton, and Clayton loved him to bits -- Henry State Park: Took some snacks, made it to a nice lookout. He nerded out about plants. Told me about his family's love for biking. I told him i loved running and playing sports. It was one of the few times we talked about anything other than music... I miss Clayton. He was the only person on the street around my age. It was so fun, knowing him. I'm sitting here at my desk job, feeling so wrong, and not for neglecting my duties here, and i know he would get that. He'd be like "what are ya doing??" haha, Im on my way out don't worry. Just doing what i can to free up my time so i can play. I am still writing and playing music just not as much as he knows i should be... Still every now and then, when I write a song. Like a real Song Song. I just wish i could play it for him and hear what he caught... Some day though. Til then, hope you're listening in and keeping your chops up! We'll play our music again, and get our chowder.
Miss you good spirit. My last day at the office is approaching, and I'm thinking of you.Perseushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15999684713504253237noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109002094226777218.post-58452261900591685092021-04-19T21:03:35.671-07:002021-04-19T21:03:35.671-07:00Missing you today friend. I remember meeting Clayton and talki...Hey Clayton,

I remember meeting Clayton and talking bands for a long time. I was so happy when he later told his Mom that 'I really knew music'. (I think I am older than she is :))

I'll never forget April 24, 2007 when Clayton, William, and I saw Machine Head, Megadeth and Dio at the HP Pavilion in San Jose.

Dave Mustaine was just back from his hand injury. He played a long time, better than ever. Tony Iommi was 60 years old and we decided that he was better than ever. Dio was great as always.

I still talk about that show as one of the best I've ever seen and will always remember Clayton being there, he was very happy that night. I am happy we had that time together.... We spent every class together year after year. We always engaged in class projects together, played 4 square. I think there were even awkward moments when I found myself having the biggest crush on clayton and being paired in groups with him. Either way we grew up together and i will forever remember my friend Clayton from now and forever. He was an amazing soul and this earth and everyone who knew him is sadened to see him go.Brooke Mcleannoreply@blogger.com
